What the fuck is up with this?
They'll complain about Britney Spears guest spotting on this show, supposedly mocking the crucifiction (yes, that's on purpose people), yet they don't just bitch about the overtly gay people on it. Is that because the gay people aren't married? I don't know, don't really care. Will & Grace, if you've never had the joy of watching, is hilarious. But I digress.
I guess my point is this - who the fuck cares? Exxxon makes triple billion dollars in fucking profits while gas goes to 3 bucks a gallon. Our government's answer: We need to end our dependency on foreign oil. How fucking brilliant is that? How about a cap on the gas prices, George? Oh, wait, that's right - yer also making money hand over fist with this oil thing. How could I forget that? So now not only do you get free health insurance on me for the rest of your life, plus your salary as the worst president I've lived through for the last six years, but your retirement is set because I have to drive to work (well, I don't, but my wife does!). On that note, too, your tax breaks are making my company send more and more work overseas. My salary sucks - can't survive on it, which makes my wife have to work and we just squeek by.
What is it with America? At one point, we were free and now, suddenly, it seems oppressive. Maybe I'm just overreacting, because I know it's really not that bad, but from the time I was born till now, jobs that can support you have gone away, education costs have gone up, pension and retirement is a fucked institution. It was supposed to be easier for us than it was for our parents.
It's not. It's depressing.
