Yesterday I took a break from studying to go to the mall. Dad and Patti told me that the chances that I will get a Wii for Christmas are pretty slim, so I had to come up with something else that I want that is appropriately priced. I thought perhaps a suit, but I have two and have failed to get an internship next semester, so I really don’t need one. Then I thought that I could frame some of the pictures I got from China, but what will I do with them? They would only sit around in their pretty frames and wait for me to become gainfully employed and semi-permanently situated in an apartment. So I was stumped, until Hotmail helped me out.
There was a Cole Haan advertisement at the top of my e-mail inbox, and you all know how I can’t resist Cole Haan. So I clicked on the advertisement. Drooled over some shoes, and checked the sale page. After picking out a pair (that had what I think was my size), one of my roommates and I ran off to the mall so that I could try on some Cole Haans and we could not study.
Now, I have always known that the College Station Mall is inferior to Baybrook in almost everyway. The two redeeming factors are a Steve and Barry’s (Meimei’s favorite store) and a giant New York and Company that ALWAYS has awesome sales. The college station mall does have a Dillard’s and a Macy’s, so I thought I was in pretty good shape. Dillards had a pitiful stock of Cole Haans, so we went over to Macy’s. I asked the sales lady if there were any Cole Haan’s and she said no. They didn’t have ANY! Infact she even said “Oh I know what you are talking about, those are those super expensive shoes. We don’t stock those.” I was shocked and appalled. We went back to Dillards and I tried on a couple of pairs of Cole Haan’s to find the right size, including a pair of black boots that were made of the softest leather ever. I wanted to sit there and stroke the boots for hours!
I just finished taking my Organization of Industry final. Now I'm off to have lunch and start studying for Accounting. Only two finals to go.
