I am taking a Public Finance course this semester. For those of you who don't know, Public Finance is basically the economics of the government. So we talk about taxes, public goods, budgets, and public programs

wow. thats like saying you have cancer but don't do anything about it because treatment will cause you to use up ur savings.

u know, id rather get treated and be bankrupt than dead

I think the idea is that Global Warming is more like some random non-fatal disease. You have plenty of money to treat it, but you decide not to because ultimately the cost of treatment is higher than the cost of any mild-discomfort that you will face over the years.
