Debate, Driving, and Cartie's Bitch.
We went to the Deer Park Debate tournament yesterday. I was silly and didn't wake up in time to make it to teh bus today... I was just a bit tired. We only had about 7 people at the tournament and only 5 people compeeting as compared to Lake which brought 40 kids. It was still fun.... probably more fun becasue the group was smaller and we each got 5 seats on the bus, but only used two. We also occupied two tables for a while. I did extempt and who should be my judge but Naved! Naved is an ex-lake debater who i got allong with very well after camp last year, so i was pleasently suprised to find him in the back of the room. And guess who also showed up! Danny, Naweed, and Carrie. That was great fun, becasue it really didn't feel like a tournament with out the three of them there.
Cartie (Mr. Rutledge) is acctually great fun at tournaments, and he has calmed down in class so i'm happy. We played spades a lot. David didn't bring a tie, so we had Cartie give him his. Coaches don't have to look good, and he needed to be a "team player" or so we said. Of course, David got teased about how "precious" he looked with a shirt and tie that looked too big for him on. David became Cartie's bitch at some point during a game of spades, and so when i was looking for Cartie so that i could go home i said "Where is Cartie's bitch? DAVID!?!"
Erin and i decided that we should not pop our heads into the coach's lounge and yell for "Bitch" because people may not be too pleased.... Oh well, good times.
I drove today. And i went shopping and got the PotC Soundtrack, and some movies, and two REALLY awsome dresses for 40 bucks! SWEETNESS.
I go read now.
