I'm BAAACK!

I just got back from New York a couple of hours ago, and naturally I felt the need to run to my computer embrace it and immediately get on to the internet. Why? Because I am a member of the computer dependent generation. I have a severe addiction to having the ability to look up anything I want when ever I feel so inclined, it doesn’t matter that I usually don’t feel so inclined, I just feel the need. But enough about my problem.
On Saturday Meredith and I left home and took a plane to New York. Alone. I know it is sad but I feel as though I would be completely and utterly lost without my sister, because I have a tendency to just breeze along as though it really doesn’t matter because some one else will inevitably be there... Even if they won’t. I don’t know that I could have gotten to the airport, let alone on the right plane, or to the hotel by myself. I watched Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason on the flight, and when it was done we landed. Then I blindly followed Meredith as we went from plane to train to other train to subway to hotel.
When we got to the hotel the family promptly left to go eat dinner.
All in all the food was awesome, Avenue Q was hilarious, the walking was okay, the things to do were great, and the weather was obscenely cold.
But it was fun.
And as an added bonus I was not mugged, beaten, raped, stolen from, insulted, or anything that you normally think about happening in New York.
I did discover that I have been spoiled by southern men and their chivalrous behavior, because I was rather appalled when no one stood up for me on the subway. I also found out that some New Yorkers do speak with that wretched stereotypical New York accent, and it sounds like they are speaking another language. Also, even though I know there are plenty on people in Houston who would gladly pick my pocket I guard my purse much less carefully in Houston. How sad.
Now I have the rest of my spring break to study for tests, and hand out with my friendly friends.

OH YES! Meredith got into Johns Hopkins. Yay for Happy.
