RODEO HOUSTON 3/11/04
Colleen and I went after school. We looked at the horses for a while... They were sooooo pretty. There was one pallimino stallion that was for sale; he is a beauty. Tall, well muscled, BIG. I know he would be hard to ride, but he was just so pretty! And so expensive, too. :-( There were lots of other gorgeouse horses around.
Then we went to look at the art and stuff on sale. Personally,I think that $165 for a hat that you will wear one day out of the year is a bit steep but other people didn't. Weirdos. I didn't buy anything... except for over priced food, but the food is part of the experience.
The acctual Rodeo part... We had seats that were really really close! It was great. After a year I had forgotten how into the rodeo i get. They started with calf roping, then Bareback Bronc riding, Team roping, Saddle bronc riding, Steer wrestling, Barrel racing, Bull riding, the calf scramble, and chuck wagon racing. Bull riding is not exactly my favorite, but i yelled for everything. I'm such a texan.
Clay Walker was great. He sang a lot of songs that i didn't know... but they were still good. And he is a good looking guy. And he has a paint (Horse)!
"Love is a rythem
Of two hearts beating
Pounding out a message
Steady and true
Talk to me baby
Tell me what your feelin
I know what love is
Whats it to you?"
Colleen and I ate a funnel cake... We got powdered sugar ALL over ourselves... that was fun too.
GUESS who sat behind us on the bus home! Cindy! We talked about horses, Clay Walker, and books! Yay Cindy!
Anyway, it was fun. Yay for Clay!

FRIDAY:
Sucked. Despite the fact that it was the last school day before spring break. After school i had to go to work. I was cash (take-out), so i was suppose to work from 4-10. WELL 10 o'clock rolls around (slowly) and i asked Ira (my manager) if i could leave. Ira looked at me and said "You're cash. Who is going to do cash if you leave?" Well, i really don't care who does it when i'm not there, typically they don't even do takeout after 10. Then i was told in no uncertain terms that i had to saty till close... We close at 12 on fridays. ANd how many take out orders did i have from 10-12? One. These two fourteen year old girls came in to get a pizookie and flirt with Jake (Jake is an assinine server who believes that he is God's gift to women, he is 22). So the 14 year old was hanging on Jake, "Oh you are so funny! Oh Jake you are wonderful!" Yuck.
I didn't want to be any where near that painful display, but guess what! I had to be, because it is my job!
I finally got to leave at 12:30.
And you know what? It wasn't legal for them to keep me there for that long! Persons under the age of 18 are not allowed to work past 10 pm. Plus they are required by law to give me a break if i work for 7 hours... lets not talk about 8 and a half! Stupid Ira.

NOW:
I went riding... And got rained on, but at least i got to ride. We did canter work, and leg yields. Annie does't like to do either, so it was interesting. She trys so hard to please, but with leg yeilding she doesn't know what you want so she gets frustrated and starts bucking and acting like a goober.
I went home and cleaned my room.
And i'm going to go see "Hidalgo" at 4.
Thats all.
