Due to the extremely annoying-to-assemble dining room chairs that I bought from Ikea, Happy and I have started to quantify our frustration in chairs. Today I had a 10 chair day.
The cable guy came to set up out cable and internet today, however despite the fact that Comcast is apparently trying to turn over a new customer service leaf, they appear to be incapable of doing it. The cable guy got the TV working and then he did the internet, however apparently all four of the modems that he got from the warehouse were deffective. So before the guy left he said all I had to do was go get a modem and everything should be fine.
Five minutes after the guy left I went to watch some TV, since I couldn't use the internet, and it turned out that we only had 13 channels (three of them were infomercials). I was livid! So I called comcast to complain and they sent the tech back. It turns out Happy's Tv has a seperate setting for cable that I didn't know about, so it only took about 3 seconds for the tech to fix it and make me feel stupid.
After he left I walked down to Office Depot to buy a cable modem because I just couldn't wait for the internet any longer. When the modem was finally plugged in it didn't work... So I called Comcast again. The guy that I talked to tried to be helpful, but it seems like the poor customer service is so entrenched in this company that even when they try their hardest no one can help you out. They scheduled another tech to come out and get the internet up and running next Thursday, which is crap.
After I got off the phone Happy and I moved the modem and router to the living room, where we unplugged the TV and set up the internet instead... But I had to call comcast another time when the stupid software that they have you install on your computer kept telling me that it hadn't installed to begin with.
10 Chairs.
And Comcast is still the devil.
