We did it! ...heh. *giggles*

And after basking in the glory of matrimonial bliss for a couple of days... I finally post. ;)

After endless days wondering when the day was going to freakin' come, how much longer we'd have to wait, and not being able to book anything for not knowing when we'd be actually able to do anything - we've finally done it.

Colin and I finally tied the knot this past friday, and we're now married... heh... *giggles*

I shall now be known officially as Mrs. *giggles* Colin K. Arenz.... Jessica Lyn Arenz... *giggles*
I have a husband... *giggles*

It worries Colin that I giggle everytime I think about it. ...but in a good way.

It doesn't feel any different, really.  Besides the whole situation having the power to make me giggle.  The marriage for us, was more of just a way to make things more official....   Does that make sense?
It wasn't the BIG HUGE WONDEROUS day that most wedding days are - we didn't have the big ceremony and pomp and circumstance... we didn't finally move in together... we didn't leave on a crazy romantic honeymoon or anything.  We basically just made everything official, really.
It hasn't really hit me just how important the day was, but at the same time, it has.... hence the giggling.
I now have two rings on my finger, and Colin has an exceptionally shiny one now as well.
As soon as the certificate arrives in the mail, I'm going down to the immigration office, and making the final adjustments to my visa stuff, and all will be well.
And then we start putting the crazy amount of money down for our party to end all parties next year.
THAT will be a special day. :)   Yes, we'll have been married for an entire year already by that point, but that will be the special day for sure.

Our day on friday was fantastic though, I assure you.
We were a bit rushed and stressed before getting to the courthouse, but all turned out well, and everything was cool.

I tried on my Pretty, and it's absolutely beautiful!!!   I really need to work on my flabby arm issue, and sort something out for growing some boobs, but it's just gorgeous.   I didn't realize just how big the skirt and train was... my goodness.. heh.  We'll definitely be sorting something out about that.. and is it ever HEAVY!  Woo!   The length was perfect, the bodice fit like a glove... it was just my boobular area that didn't work out so well.
Apologies fellas who are reading this and might not want to... heh.
The Heaving B-Cups just didn't cut it.  *hangs head*   It's a really easy fix though... umm for the dress, not so much for the ladies.
(I've taken way too many reference photos of the Pretty as well, so girls - be ready for a Pretty Post soon heh)

The ceremony itself was just wonderful.  VERY short (I'm talking 10mins tops), but wonderful.  I didn't flub any repeated lines (a fear of mine since I was young... heh.. long story), we made it through without getting too veclempt.. and I was attempting to not grin my face off stupidly the entire time.  There are some photos from this on a couple of cameras that aren't mine, so I'll post them when I can.

We went for dinner, but stopped at some shops in a really neat part of town beforehand.  We were given one of the coolest presents EVER by Colin's parents  (pictures will be up shortly), and we had a really nice dinner.  The waitress was awesome, and we got free dessert from the restaurant as they were all excited we decided to eat there on our day.

Luck was totally with us that day... eventhough it was the whole Friday the 13th thing.  Everything from the dress, to flowers from a cute little florist lady whipping us up something beautiful half an hour before the ceremony (and throwing in free flowers for our moms), to getting two adjacent parking spots right infront of the courthouse... to being able to move our reservations ahead an hour (after figuring out things would be MUCH quicker than expected).. to my stepdad only being 3/4 of the dick I thought he was going to be (saturday in chicago was a whole different story though --that's for later).

We had a fantastic day.  Everyone's love and well wishes were totally felt all day.  A HUGE big squishy hug goes to my dear friend who knows who they are for the wonder arrangement that found its way to our door the day before.  And a heap of thanks to everyone who wished us well through emails, phonecalls, posts and comments.

I couldn't be happier right now.

I'm married... *giggles*
