Hello to new friends!
For those of you who are new here, I'm Maggie, a dissertation writer who has recently discovered that she likes fiction more than academic writing. (And yes, it did take...oh...twelve years of higher learning to figure that out.) I have a passion for tea (a whole cupboard full) and politics (spent yesterday afternoon at a rally for immigrant rights.) And I love reading other people's writing.

ME: I'm a new writer with only one work in progress, an almost-complete series being written for wellymuck. If you're interested, a few of the installments can stand alone. Perhaps Predator and Prey does this best.
WELLYMUCK: If you are one of the blessedly patient readers who is following this project, I have bad news for the evening: I was home sick today, and LJ or the internet connection is not working properly, and thus another installment of wellymuck seems not to be in the cards. We'll be back again tomorrow.
ETA: It's early June 2007, and while lots of things haven't changed much in the past year--I'm still awash in tea and writing that damned dissertation--I've at least written a bit more fic. My favorites are starred on my list of one-shots.
