Harry Potter Reading Project Update

Feb 16, 2007 09:07

Very quick update, folks:

I just created a community, creatively entitled hp_reread, to track my progress as I reread the books--rather than doing it in my journal, as I did yesterday. Please come join me if you're interested!

* Everyone's welcome to watch the community and make comments when you're in the mood ( Read more... )

I've joined the comm, but I'll probably be re-reading in batches of chapters, rather than just one a day - I find it hard to put a book down after only one chapter! So I'll probably start either this weekend or early next week, then I'll catch up with the rest of you.

No worries. This is a low-stress, no-obligation type of thing. Drop when you're ready! Maggie

*nods* It's got to be done, right? Drop by when you begin re-reading, if you'd like! Maggie

Ooh, I saw this yesterday! Good luck with it. I fear I won't be able to keep up (and just finished my HBP reread before Christmas), but I think it's a great idea to do before new canon! :)

Really, I can become that kind of person who works on everything a bit at a time rather than staying up all night the night before, I can. (I'm trying this for academic reading, as well, by the way. We'll see.) Thank you! Maggie

By the way, I can link to this in tonight's quibbler_report if you want more people in it. But if you'd rather keep it to friends, just let me know. :)

This is a really nice idea. MAybe it'd help me to read the six books before the final one in July. :)
