Back in my room, starting my last quarter. . .
spring break was fantastic! I'm tan, I spent hours floating in warm water, or jumping around in waves, hiking in the jungle, swimming behind a waterfall, driving four wheels! awsome.
We had quite an adventure coming back. alex and i spent 18 hours in the airport drinking dominican beer, we sort of went insane by the end. then we had our flight to new york at 2 am, during which we just crashed. In new york we had a 3 hour layover, but we spent in taking the wrong train that took us out of the airport, then going to all of these wrong terminals, eck. The flight to chicago we spent watchign america's next top model on our own little tvs! jet blue is awesome, basically, you get tv, and dorito snacks adn everything! 2 more hours on trains and busses to get back home. . . only to find out it doesnt' open until the next day! omg. by then we needed showers really badly, so we broke into our dorm!!! hehe so exciting! I found this latter, we put it up to the 2nd floor, and then we had to pop the screen and climb in! we dropped off our stuff, took showers, and then alex runs into our RH in the hallway in her towl. haha. she says she didn't lie when she told her, "well, i tried and tried to get in, and then masha tried and it worked!" she even made a hand gesture to immitate a card, but she thinks she was super truthful. ;)
Lucky for us, we were invited to a henna party for an pakistani engagement party at our friends house, shakeela, the lady who owns the indian food place at our school! So we got on the train, again, and slept all the way to aurora, somewhere west of here. The party was awsome, we ate amazing traditional food, saw the ceremony, and got henna tatoos on our hands! they're awsome, and will last for a week or two! and the mother of the groom gave us extra henna so we can do it again when this fades! We made friends with a lot of people, shakeela's kids, and the girl who did our henna tatoos, she's a journalist and photographer, so that was fun to talk about. We stayed over, and even got breakfast in the morning!
My last undergrad classes are(so far): arabic, earth history(have to take it), physics of the earth(have to), and photography! yay!
have worked out twice already! my room is the worst it's even been in my life. I have almost nothing left in my clauset, because it's on the floor, plus my suitcase, trash, cords, cameras, papers, folders, towls, hair drier, shoes, bags, and i'm scared to think what else. it sucks. but i have no energy to clean.
oh! I learned an awesome drinking game in the DR, cant' wait to play it with you guys in the summer!!!!!
