I was reading the Metro a few weeks back, and happened across the opinions page. I noticed an article about a woman complaining about men not giving their seats to her on crowded trains.
A woman expecting someone to hand her a seat in today's world? BAH!
Now, I'm all for chivalry and all that... I mean I treat my lady like a lady. But in today's world I don't feel woman deserve any special treatment because they are women. They pushed for years and years for equality in the workplace, on the street, and in the polls. It just strikes me odd they want to steal our traditionally grunt jobs and still expect to be treated with privileges.
I had this discussion with my mother, who while being understanding and insightful, was biased on the fact she is indeed a woman.
She was kind enough to explain that men are inherently stronger than women. Everything from the Olympics to girls soccers is made less severe, less physical than their male counterpart.
Then why this push? Are women just trying to be bitches? Are they just trying to assert themselves into a situation and say I'm Here! Don't Overlook Me!? I don't fully understand it.
I personally do not believe woman should serve in the armed forces. I do not believe they should hold physically demanding jobs. Truth be told, they are not able to handle them due to their lack of being a man. Any laborious profession will tell you that women simply can not comply with the standards set by men.
That is the truth. Women are being bitches. It's plain and simple.
