Mac is kidnapped by Jack and forced to celebrate his own birthday... two months late for some reason. But, Mac is rather over all of his near-death experiences and decides to call it quits at playing hero. At the party, Mac endures tongue, not!babies, and flashbacks before retiring to Pete's office to... retire. Pete forgets the first five years of his friendship with Mac after just discussing it two episodes previously, and after some more smooches and cake (from Penny and Jack in that order), Mac decides to keep doing the hero thing, so maybe he was just cranky from low blood sugar or something...
