I didn't want to tell everyone I was going to this until I was 100% sure I actually was. But now? YAY!!! I finally made it! XD

This year's guests were James Masters, Gareth David-Lloyd, Corin Nemec, Mary McDonnell, Karl Urban and Alex Meraz.

I went with damianl & victoria_jean. Vicki and I decided to be a little daring and cosplayed - her as Sailor Moon, and I was Vala

Excellent report - sounds like you had a great time! I couldn't hear/understand most of the second Corin video. :(

I do know that at Dragon Con a couple of years back when both Corin AND Shanks were in attendance (along with Chris Judge, Lexa, Claudia, Jason, etc.) very few of the questions on the panel were directed at Corin, and his autograph line was nearly always empty while the one for Shanks and the other SG actors from the panel was constantly packed - as in steadily had about 50 t0 100 people in line and had to be snaked to accommodate them and STILL had to extend outside the autograph hall at times.

As for mocking anyone else's career choices - "Mansquito" anyone? "SS Doomtrooper"? In the immortal words of Peter Venkman, "Tasty pick, bone head."

Yeah sorry about that. He had the mic down quite low, so I couldn't hear what he was saying either, otherwise I would have subtitled it like the James Masters video.

That's gotta be rough, but I guess if you put it in perspective, he wasn't on the show as long as the others and the fandom has built up alot since his time. His line was empty most of the time here too. Gareth and James were always full, but the rest were mostly alone.

He was on for one year versus several years each for the others. Alexis Cruz who played Skaara had more fans in his line than Corin did in his, but Cruz also had noticeably fewer than Shanks/Black/Judge/Momoa/etc. did in their lines. It's a factor of Cruz being in fewer eps and the number of years that had passed since his last ep

Actually, I have a lot of fun at cons going to talk to the people who don't have long queues. They like having someone to talk to and you get to know them. Works for me!

I think any actor who shows up to these cons has balls...as it were. :P

I didn't see Karl Urban's talk, but his seemed like a nice guy and he was the one who got most involved with the fans and stood around talking to whoever just hanging out heh.
