O that this too too solid flesh would melt,
Thaw, and resolve itself into a dew!
Or that the Everlasting had not fixed his canon
'gainst self slaughter! O God. God!
How weary, stale, flat and unprofitable seem to me
All the uses of this world. Fie on't! Ah, fie!
'Tis an unweeded garden that grows to seed.
Things rank and gross in nature possess it merely.
That it should come to this! But two months dead-
Nay, not so much, not two. So excellent a king that was,
To this, Hyperion to a satyr! So loving to my mother
That he might not beteem the winds of Heaven
Visit her face too roughly. Heaven and Earth!
Must I remember? Why, she would hang on him as if increase of appetite
Had grown by what it fed on! And yet, within a month!
Let me not think on't. Frailty, thy name is woman!
A little month or ere those shoes were old
With which she followed my poor father's body!
Like Niobe, all tears. Why she, even she!
A beast that wants discourse of reason would mourn longer!
Married to my uncle- my father's brother, but no more like my father
Than I to Hercules. Within a month
Ere the salt of most unrighteous tears
Had left the flushing in her galled eyes
She married. O most wicked speed to post
With such dexterity to incestuous sheets!
It is not nor cannot come to good.
But break my heart for I must hold my tongue.
^^My soliloquy, posted here because I need to remember it, yo. I only messed up once, so I'm getting better. I got my Hamlet costume at Goodwill today, it's hot. It has like, a black pirate shirt, a brocade vest, a red velvet cape (okay, that's our Christmas tree skirt), black puffy pants, and I already had knee length boots. Hopefully I'll be as good at remembering my soliloquy as I will at looking cool.
Anyway, Anner's party was last night. It was awesome. And rowdy. The mocktails were flowing, the polka music was pumping, and the Christmas trivia was off the chain! Seriously, though, all of the above were awesome. They just made me laugh at their wholesomeness, since errbody I know is convinced you can't have fun without alcohol. I had mega fun at Anna's party, and it was such the awesome to see everyone again. We simply must do this more often.
Friday was my field trip to Union Station. It was tons o' fun. I shopped, I rang bells, I sang, I danced. It lasted all day, and I therefore got out of all my classes but one, Calculus... but it's all good cause I had a test and I needed to be there to get my 10 bonus points. I have two upcoming fieldtrips as well, on Tuesday we're going to see The Nutcracker and on Thursday we're going to see the Rockettes. Both should be awesome. Then, on Friday, we're having a Christmas pep rally, I think! Neat!
I got my PSAT scores back. I did pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. I scored in the 93rd percentile of all juniors nation wide. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, as they say.
Anyway, I really have to practice this soliloquy. It's worth 400 points! Gah!
