Calintz waited for the princess to ride in the cart before mounting on his horse. He said "We'll be going now," while raising his hand to signal Chelsea to follow.

It's getting awfully dark. I guess staying at the house first to spend the night wouldn't be a bad idea. What is wrong with Chelsea anyway, suggesting to leave this time of the night? But then again, what is wrong with ME agreeing with her suggestion?

The village was quiet. Maybe a bit too quiet. Those children shouting a while ago are fast asleep in their beds dreaming. Only the wheels of the cart and the hoofs of the horses were heard.
