Originally uploaded by camerasutraThis photo from the epic spring break of 2009 is one of the ones I like best of everything I've ever taken and I feel delicious warmth on my back looking at it now. It was a snapshot, not carefully planned out, just something that caught my eye as I was walking from the Todos Santos rental house down to the beach and back. I love how the evening sun is pushing through the orthogonal slats of that big gate, echoed in the tire tracks in the sand, the fence, the telephone poles in the distance.
I feel so incredibly loved and lucky to be going back to Todos Santos next week for a holiday of sand and cactus and sun and ocean and snuggling. My packing list trails off after swim suit, sarong, tripod, novel… Well, I'm taking the laptop too, and will need to work while I'm there, but what can be better than working with a view of the Pacific?
