Rest in Peace...
I just discovered that my friend Joel died on November 17th. In getting my new email address set, I forgot to change my address with the CarePage site that I used to keep up with him. I just signed in today to find the news.
I met Joel while singing in the Dallas Symphony Chorus. He was always smiling and laughing, and generally a joy to be around.
Joel was a vivacious singer, husband, and father of 3. He was a dedicated student, and an all-over inspiring person. He was 37 at the time of his death. He was fighting acute myelogenous leukemia, and had received a bone marrow transplant, but was unable to fight off the final infection, and succumbed due to septic shock.
