Busy

I've recently hit the nesting phase of my pregnancy. I've had people tell me it's too early, but clearly it's not for me. I've been reorganizing and cleaning out all of the closets at home. I have designs to continue the organization of the basement storage area. I've cleaned up the work-out room. I just need to dust and hang the marker board in there, and get a little file/paper holder for our work-out logs. I've got designs to get the basement doors and trim painted this weekend. I've been working on getting the guest room in decent shape for visits from a college friend and my Dad (maybe with my Stepmother). The nursery is slowly being emptied of stuff that won't reside in there any more. There's still a great deal of work involved in that.....

I cleaned and organized my desk at work. As soon as I finish the paper I'm working on, I'll be able to put another stack or 2 of the data away, leaving only 2 potential piles on my desk. That's almost miraculous. I've threatened to clean off lab benches.

I have moments of not wanting to do much. In those moments, I find myself knitting, as I still feel the need to be productive. I've gotten the fronts, the back, and one sleeve done on my first baby sweater. And I've gotten about 1/2 of the UVA colored baby poncho done. After I finish these 2 projects, which shouldn't be much longer, I'll get to work on the 3 scrapbooks that I need to do (or they'll never get done). One is a gift for my in-laws....with wedding pictures. That really needs to be done before our 2nd anniversary! The other 2 are from our trips (Alaska and Europe). I'll probably knit a few pair of socks after that, and I really want to get started on my Christmas stocking.
