but I'm not that into stage combat these days... there have been many discussions about "why not just make all of the actors martial artists, or make martial artists into actors?" Let's just say, they tend to be very different critters, and when you get one that does it really well, you get Jet Li, whatshisface Steven Segal, or Bruce Lee. Jackie Chan isn't actually a martial artist by his own words, never taken any formal martial arts training, he's just done some hardcore theatrical training in a very tough school, which expected their audience to include high-caliber martial artists that would demand quality performance. Perhaps that's a model....
