*wheezes* We've known for a while that there's been something wrong with Ariel but we had no idea. Then, out of the blue, cos she'd seemed to be getting better, she threw herself into the river. Goldberry brought her back to us and Ariel just wouldn't talk. Irmo established that she was pregnant and the baby is half-maia.

After some pretty painful investigation, I found out that Gothmog is the father.

Ariel didn't know who he was.
