WHY HELLO EVERYONE :)
Did I surprise you again?
ffffff
so yeah, still in Davao, but I'm back from my 4-day trip to camp. And this entry, I'm gonna spill it all out what happened and such, and as well as what happened before I went to camp. :D
Note: THIS IS THE LONGEST POST EVER. 8(
[NOTICE! Most of these pics, I took them from Facebook.]
PROLOGUE: "ENTERING THE CITY"
Ohoho man, things have slightly changed around that place, seriously. My parents' friends were waiting at the exit as we've arrived the airport and after we took our baggages. They took us to a restaurant called "Antonio's". The food's great there. Mom took a picture of me before we entered.
Yep that's me over there. That guy behind me is my dad.
Here's me and parents at the left, and Mr. & Mrs. Ang at the right.
Lookit at the food.
My hair is a mess. ;w;
After that, the rest decided to get the taste of Durian again, since my parents haven't eaten those things for 2 years now. Soooo off we go to that one restaurant where they sell Durian.
Here's me and my dad in front of a Durian stand.
...I still don't like it's taste. Too sweet for me. >_>
And then later, we finally stopped to a fancy hotel. It's got WiFi INSIDE THE ROOMS, unlike some other hotels, which mainly have WiFi in the lobby only.
Here's me enjoying my day watching CABLE TV. /sob
Y-yes, I'm watching Jimmy Neutron. And I MISSED NICKELODEON OKAY. /SOB SOB SOB
They still kept the classics there. That's good. :3
The next day, we packed up our stuff, and head off to Eden Nature Park. It's only now I realized that it was owned by Ayala. Maaaan that company's rich around here, building malls and other things and such.
DAY ONE: "ARRIVAL"
[There are no pictures from here and onwards. I'll post them up in another entry instead.]
Eden Nature Park.
It's a giant mass of land filled with trees, rocks, and mud. It's... a nature park... what else?
Also that place has peacocks roaming around.
Peacocks.
PEACOCKS.
ROAMING AROUND.
YES
THEY LET THEM ROAM AROUND THAT PLACE.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.
they look so beautiful ;w;
Anyway, I took my stuff, the Opening ceremony begins, and then we were sorted into groups.
There are 3 groups for each gender. I was placed in 1G.\
So after that, we made our cheer and catchphrase. Lol yes, we have a catchphrase.
Then after that, we all took our bags to our specified tent. And yeah, all of us, 11 girls, will have to stay in one teeny tent.
It... wasn't that comfortable, sleeping in such space, buuut I said this to myself.
"It's only just 4 days. YOU CAN DO IT!"
DAY TWO: "TREKKING"
5 AM is the official wake up time around camp. Man was I drowsy...
We had our daily devotional, in which the topic is all about "Why God made woman. And how we are made after the image of a Relational God." It was informative, yet pretty inspiring too.
After this, we had lunch, and then Christian Living, in which the topic is very much related to earlier's devotion.
...Did I forget to mention to you guys that I'm actually joining a Christian Youth Summer Camp? Well, now you know.
Later, we had dance. Yep, dance. They taught us how to do the Line Dance. It was fun. :D
We had lunch after that, and then another dose of CL then after that...
TREKKING.
8|
We walked around the Mountain Trail, which the trail was 3 km long, or so I heard. :|a
MY
FEET
HURT
HARD
;_;
IT WAS TIRING. AND I WAS ABOUT TO FALL DOWN.
B-But then MC is being a persistent little kid and tried my best to endure the pain while walking the long and winding trail.
The stairs are being nightmare-ish murderers.
/sob
Off to bed I go after a long day.
DAY THREE: "DANCE NIGHT"
/s-sob
I kinda felt reeeeally tired after that trek. My legs still hurt as I wake.
The usual daily dorm devotional and breakfast routine is there. Then later we had CL and after that, Volleyball.
Volleyball is fun when playing without a few rules. But then that would be Mintonette already. :|a
After that, we had our Inter-dorm games. We played against Dorms 2G and 3G in Volleyball. We... kinda went to third place, but at least we had fun there. \o/
Later on, we prepared ourselves for the upcoming Dance Night. The venue for that is pretty good, although it seems it's also a nesting ground for the birds as well.
fffff also, yesterday, I heard from Ate Pedz that there are a some guys at camp who asked: "Who's the girl with the hat and the bag?"
Then someone replied, "Oh that's Jinjie, the Pastor's daughter."
"Th-The Pastor's Daughter?!"
Well... that's what she heard.
...
Lol I never mentioned that my dad is actually a pastor, but hey, now you know.
SO BACK TO MY STORY...
Anyway, dance night was fun. It feels like... I'm in the JS Prom Night... in which I never joined into one because my school never had actually started those. :/
But yeah, with my friends along, it was really fun.
I was... surprised that one guy asked me to dance with him.
I timidly accepted it. And so... we danced. It was good, really good. Fun as well... we had a pretty small and decent conversation with each other
And then he decided to switched partners, most likely thinking he wanted to give his friend a chance to dance with me.
My parents took a picture of that guy and me.
fffffff.
And then the rest, we boogie'd 'til we tire out.
DAY FOUR: "DEPARTURE"
The usual routine begins, and then later on we all participated in the Campwide Games. Although a few might call it the AMAZING RACE.
Man that was wickedly fun. Except for the Sudoku part. 8(
I LIKE TO RIDE ON THE INDIANA JONES COURSE AGAIN. IT WAS KDHFJFGJFBNMDFBDJFGDJKFBJKVDJFDGKF.
8D
After that, we rested for a bit then packed our stuff. Later, the baptisms and the closing ceremony started.
We all cried at that time.
That's because most of us are from different parts of Mindanao.
I'm a different case, in which I came from Pampanga, which is in Luzon, which is north of Mindanao and Visayas. :(
We became close friends in just 4 days, and then we have to part away to our respective homes.
Life is tough man. Life is tough.
But that's what it is.
During the ceremony, they gave out the certificates of participation, and as well as the special award.
I was given the special Oscar's Award. For being persistent, and showing courage and such at camp. I'd show you that little certificate of mine, but I have no scanner for now. Later in another post, I might.
It was joyful, yet sad day. But everything else, I'm not gonna forget those days I've spent with my group. It was awesome. They were awesome.
Also, as we left camp, Mom and I saw a White Peacock passing by.
White Peacock.
WHITE PEACOCK.
I WILL SHOW YOU A PICTURE OF THAT IN ANOTHER ENTRY OKAY.
EPILOGUE: "HERE I AM"
And here I am, in the internet shop in the mall, waiting for mom to finish her long-missed shopping in this favorite mall of ours.
And this is where my story about camp ends.
