Her world building is to die for. Favourite thing about the series tbh. Never thought that I'd find it in a series with so much time devoted to romance, but I was wrong, because it just made her writing and pacing tighter, fitting all those things in. I whine a lot about the series, but god yes, the absolute individuality of each pairing's dynamic, the construction of every lead character and most of the supporting characters, it's so good.

I want my theory that Aden has to randomly deliver them to come true.

Your talk on identity and feelings has made me think of the Laurens in particular, who are so absolute in their journey to reclaim their identity. Social isolation and rediscovery was one thing, but Judd and Sienna both managed to redefine and rediscover their powers entirely... two weapons who learned to turn their powers to healing.

KALEB AND SAHARA ALWAYS. I have a minor theory that part of the reason I'm so into them is because their courtship is, in a lot of ways, full of the precise elements I look for in a ship. It's not even half as broad as "childhood friends who reunite"... it goes into my secret desire for a ship that bonds while alone at the sea shore, the house Kaleb builds is pretty much exactly the shape and location I'd want a ship to have their house. IT'S SUPER CREEPY ACTUALLY how well it fits. But also on a personal level hell yes, opposites attracting, the most subtle, undetectable power in the Net and the most ostentatious, obvious power of them all. Mutual possessiveness, an intertwined history that comes to define them both, love that could have destroyed the world but comes to heal the Psy and crack Silence instead. Most important ship in the 'verse.

Yes!!! The first time I read the series, it was truly the Lauren family and those two that stood out to me the most in terms of identity construction and wanting to take things back on their own. And that they get to succeed is very important to me.
