day five - let's talk that one book series again.

The worldbuilding in these books still fascinates me so much. Nalini Singh built such a complex universe, yet it's never hard to follow any of it. I'm so not surprised she has a canon bible somewhere becaue she never once contradicts herself in anything she writes, and even with that bible, that's amazing.
It's so funny because I'm actually not a big fantasy or paranormal romance reader, but THESE BOOKS ARE MY EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!
I really like everything you said about identity. I've never really thought about that before, but what we get for that, especially from the Psy, is SO GREAT.
I'm eternally impressed by how many characters there are in this universe, but how none of them are the same or even similar.
Hawke and Sienna are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! Their book was MAYBE my favorite? IT'S SO HARD WITH BOOK 12'S EXISTENCE!!! But yeah. They are so great, and then we got so much of them in book 11, too, and I can't. And I am now reading your other post on them and I may be crying just thinking about everything they've been through, individually before they even met, and then together even after they met, until they finally got together. I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCHHHHHH. And their mating ceremony. :(((((
But also, KALEB AND SAHARA!!!!!!! HE BUILT THEIR CHILDHOOD DREAM HOME!!!!!!! IT WASN'T HIS HOUSE, HE WAS JUST WATCHING OVER IT!!!!!!!! CHILDHOOD FRIENDS WHO LOSE TOUCH IN THE MOST TRAGIC OF CIRCUMSTANCES, THEN BECOME LOVERS. I'M SO. I CAN'T DEAL WITH THEM AT ALL!!!!!
I did ask about Mercy and Riley too, and I love them SO MUCH and I love that they're equals (and OH MY GOD just thinking about the idea of him having built the cabin for her, LET ME CRY ALL THE TEARS), but I also love Judd and Brenna SO much. GOD WHY ARE (almost) ALL OF THESE PAIRINGS SO FANTASTIC?????
I'm so, so emotional about all of the family relationships. Found families are my kryptonite, so the Lauren family being accepted into the Den is my everything, but even the Duncan family KILLS ME. I just want all of the Sascha and Nikita scenes, always.
THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS I LOVE ABOUT THESE BOOKS. SO MANY. 13 days to book 13. I am counting down the hours, pretty much- even though I won't be able to read it straight away. Eternal sadface.

I was going to talk about Mercy and Riley anyway, because I do so love that they're a pairing that are partners that start out on even footing and it's just reconfiguring that for two people now and building a life togetherrrr.

I'm always so impressed by this. Like in any authors, but especially with her she's just so amazing with how she does it. She really is so impressive. I mean some of the books work less for me than others, and some characters I'm not as into, BUT I never felt like wow this just sucks and you've ruined it.

THEY'VE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH. It makes me so upset, but then I think about how they get to have each other now and figure out how to be people that can have a relationship outside of all their responsibilities. And how Sienna gets to live and I get very emotional.

THEY ARE MY EVERYTHING TOO. AND THIS SERIES IS FULL OF SO MANY. I hope we get some Nikita and Sascha interactions with the new book. I'm hoping.
