Yes I did really steal today's headline from that fake Confucius quote from Tumblr. It seemed fitting.

1) You can totally use your finger. I use my pinky sometimes. You can also use a q-tip! And the best part about smudging, or well for me because I use eyeshadow also when I smudge, is if it gets messy, that's okay. The eyeshadow will cover up the messy stuff! Or you can use a q-tip and remover to get the ugly parts off lol.
2) I don't listen to people about the waterline ever. It's never affected my eyes at all for the seven years I've been wearing eyeliner.
So my eyes are narrow shaped. They're not wide or I guess big? So when I do half of my lower it makes them more cat-eyed, which works for me.
I wouldn't listen to people that say about the entire thing making your eyes look small. It really depends on your eye and your face and what you like. SO, I would experiment. Do the whole lid, do just the outer corner, do half, do 3/4ths, see what looks good. Honestly, that's what I do. And if I see that my eye looks wonky or whatever, I take some off.
WE ALL NEED ANOTHER HAND. But ohhh that's great advice for the gel liner!!
