This is one of the very first scenes that I created for this series. It ends in a stalemate, with neither side winning, but Don and Megan live.

And I really wanted the imagery between Megan's pyro ability and Sylar's ability to freeze (which fans will recognize between Sylar and Peter). It's one reason that I chose Megan's ability in the first place.

For those who are not viewers of Heroes, Sylar's real name is Gabriel Gray. He used to be a watch maker and "Sylar" is the name of a brand of watches. He really really hates to be reminded of Gabriel, hence Megan pissing him off by calling him that.

He also loves to talk about the evolutionary imperative of those with abilities as they advance against other humans.

wow...this...was amazing. I LOVED the dueling powers and the imagery of it all...I especially loved when she smacked her hand down and caught the carpet on fire! Great stuff!!

Thank you! I worked a really long time on this part. I originally had Megan slamming her hand on the wall and this whole image of the fire leaping and whorling across the walls. Unfortunately, it got too long and I had to rearrange. =(

Don disapproves up there that the fight was not dragged out more!

I had to cut a lot of words and rewrite and stuff to get it fit. Such is the problem with making it a drabble series, but it's a fun challenge to do.

But I'm still glad that my idea was conveyed and came across.

I wonder...she's furious at Don, for going after Sylar, or furious because Sylar got away... Hmm...
