Good deed for the day... done.

Last day of freedom before the meetings begin (brr...).

Though I seldom need to, I decided to stop at Tim Horton's for a breakfast bagel after my swim this morning. The woman behind me in line wanted to know how to hook up to their wi-fi, so we sat together and I walked her through the hook up.

Turns out she was just returned from 10 years with her family in Australia, and is just registering her daughters at my school. So I put on my best "Central is best" attitude, and we chatted for a while. I may have a new yearbook student out of the deal.

Neither is a physics student, but I guess no one is perfect.

In other school-related news, we've just hired a former student of mine (class of '98 - my second year there) to cover one of the two science maternity leaves. Now to scheme to get him on staff full time...
