It's Friday, yay. And I have the weekend off this week. :-)
I signed up for the gym on Wednesday, to get into shape for... what? I've no idea. Just to shape up, after 10 months in Peru in which I barely moved at all. On Wednesday I walked/jogged on the thread mill for 30 minutes, then I did Ida's leg training programme as mine wasn't ready yet. Yesterday I did a different, hill-walking programme on the thread mill, and then my programme was ready, so I got my own exercises, prepared for my shape and my body.
Result?
I. Can. Barely. Move. My legs seriously hurt so much that I can't sit down properly; I get down halfways, and then I just have to fall the rest of the way. I can't walk up or down the stairs without looking like a 75-yearold with arthritis. The old ladies laugh at me.
My arms and chest (which I trained yesterday) are okay. A bit stiff, but not to the extent that my legs are.
I'm going back tonight. Not going to let this make me hate it, as I've signed up for 2 months.
