It's Saturday and we just came back from taking the ahijados (godsons) out for food and clothes shopping. They both got new shoes and a jumper each. Funny to see how distinctive their tastes are. While Richard likes dark clothes, usually with one or more skulls on them, Emanuel always picks clothes with colours on them. They had pollo a la brasa for lunch (grilled chicken, chips and ají) and donuts from Doni Dona for dessert. When we came back they were allowed to search for music videos on my computer. I ended up with
www.solomario.com as my home page and a sugar-coated keyboard, but other than that my computer will live to see another day.
I am in the mood to watch Christmas films. Might be because I've been watching the last few episodes of Pushing Daisies lately, and Papen City has been caked with a crystal clear layer of white, fluffy snow. Just made me miss wintery Norway, and watching Miracle on 34th Street and Home Alone.
Tonight is Pentacosta, so we're having the prayer outside, and there's a bonfire. I'm looking forward to it. Also there was a Mass earlier today, for a woman who turns 100 years old this week. Impressive, I must say.
Cold is finally disappearing! The combination of drugs seems to be working. :-)
