Adventures in EST
So we got into Manhattan on Friday at around 11pm, and it still hasn't really landed that we live here now. I guess I've got so much on my mind and so much to do I don't have time to let it all sink in.
Big props to James & Chaz for showing up at my pad on Thursday to help with the final move. Truly I owe you guys more than one, there is no way we could have done it without you!
I've learned several things in the scant days I've been here:
1) Everyone here is concerned with appearance. Even I have become subsumed with how I look (corollary to trying to find a job)
2) Every waiter in NY is rude as hell by CA standards, so I should fit in nicely.
3) Everything here costs, money, but if you take the time you can find free things to do every day, like right now I'm doing this at the library...for free!
