New pet rocks!
After quite a few orders I ran out of the steel gray fleece for my pet rocks and it turns out that color has been discontinued at the fleece company. At first I thought, "bummer!" but then on a random drive through the hills my boyfriend pointed out that all of the rocks around us were brown instead of gray anyway. These were rocky hills with barely any trees and tons of boulders -- think Wild West, with golden soil and buff-colored everything. So now pet rocks come in many colors, just like "real" rocks.
Here they are with three of the original gray ones. I like to think of them as being different kinds of stone, like the light gray one is granite, and the tan ones are sandstone, and the dark one is volcanic rock. And then the crazy looking blue one is turquoise.
So now if you want a pet rock you also get to choose what "species" he'll be! Hooray!
