Wow, I wasn't expecting so many people to be really interested in it! N-Not that that's a bad thing. It's a great thing.

In a nutshell, it's investigating areas that are known to have harmful ghosts and sentencing those ghosts for their crimes. It goes hand in hand with Magic Law, which allows for the ghosts to be sentenced.

Sort of. The ones who sentence the ghosts are called Executors, so they decide what crimes the ghost will be punished for. They have to get it right too, since they summon envoys to retrieve them for that specific crime. If they get it wrong, well, the envoy would attack the Executor instead.

That's a pretty demanding system - does the job of figuring out the crime they need to be punished for fall onto you guys, or do the Executors usually handle that themselves?

Well, my partner Muhyo is an Executor, so...yes, he does handle it himself. My job is to protect him while he does the sentencing.

Really? What other way is there to think of it, if you're the bodyguard? The Watson?

Oh yeah, I guess "partner" works pretty well too. Though if you aren't working the same job...
