Anatomy Courses

I don't think I mentioned this before. My Anatomy professor is Scottish!!!! I had a picnic with Trent this morning, and as I was driving off campus, I saw him walking along the median carrying a large portfolio. As I drove past, I rolled down the window and yelled, "HI!!! :DDDD" and waved. He looked up and responded, "Hello, my dear!"

Oh man he is the best.

So, here are the drawings I've done in the course. We only meet on Fridays, and he lectures for the majority of the time, so there aren't that many. We don't have easels at the Digital Media campus, so we work in sketchbooks. 8" x 10" is a very different scale than I am used to, at least when it comes to life drawing.

Sarah Kate, our girl model, is a belly dancer. Her torso is very petite, but her legs are HUUUUGE!!!

You can really see the triangle of fused bone at the base of her spinal column.

Front view. Booooo-ring.

Stewart, our 90-year-old model. :/

Stewart again. This rendering makes him look very ripped.

Sarah Kate again. Trying to focus more on the inside and less on the outline.

Focusing on the thigh muscles.

It's Steve, the ridiculously buff model!! He is a dancer. O_o;

Steve again. Focusing on the face.

Back to Old Man Stewart. My professor said this picture looked like Whistler's mother. D:

I think Stewart may have a glass eye. No, for reals.

My class wants to dress up for Halloween. I might go as Frollo. I think it'd be a hit in a class of Animation majors.

Oh, I saw The Prestige. What kind of press has it been getting? I thought it was awesome. The only thing that could have made it better was Ed Norton. Because I am retarded, I was really confused by the end of the movie. The house lights came on and I screamed, "WHAAAAAAAT???!!!" and wailed incoherently until beaten senseless by Trent and Marie. But once we all pieced it together, it really was awesome!!!
