25 weeks and counting
So im 25 weeks into my pregnancy and after these very very fast 25 weeks i feel like i have no time to enjoy it. I mean i enjoy every sec i get feeling my little on kick and swim around but for the past week i have been really stessed i guess you can say Last monday at my obgyn appt for my prenatal check up the took my blood pressure and it was really high im talking 160/110 . The Dr put me on medicane right away and then had me do a 24 hour urine collection test .They monitor your urine to check for protein spillage, which could be a sign of pre-eclampsia.
Preeclampsia is a disorder that occurs only during pregnancy and the postpartum period and affects both the mother and the unborn baby. Affecting at least 5-8% of all pregnancies, it is a rapidly progressive condition characterized by high blood pressure and the presence of protein in the urine. Swelling, sudden weight gain, headaches and changes in vision are important symptoms; however, some women with rapidly advancing disease report few symptoms.
So once my OBGYN ordered this test i flipped a lid when i go to the car. Crying to shaun about my baby is only 24 weeks old and if i have to have the baby now what would be the chances of the baby living thru this. That made me even more upset. After spending the day with shaun and claming down and taking the meds the Dr put me on and collecting my urine,so Wed( july 38) i dropped my baggy off at the dr office and after work i went back to see the DR so she can check my B/P it was still high but not as high as it was on monday. My test results came back and the dr said my B/P was not from the baby so no preclampsia witch made me feel so much better!
Now Friday July 30 i started bleeding i called the Dr and she wanted to see me right away at the hosptil once i got there i dressed up in the jimmy gown and they hooked me all up to see if i was having any contractions. Witch i know i dont know what they feel like but i was sure i was not having any but better be safe then sorry i guess right?... The found the baby heart beat and everything seem to be ok they checked me and could not find the blood anywhere. Witch is werid when your dr said they cant figure out what is making me bleed and i still have the "Plug" known at the Mucus plug witch is
The mucus plug is just an accumulation of secretions that form within the opening to the uterus, also called the cervical canal. So when she notice there was No blood near my cervix thats was a good sign. So after peeing in a cup again for the 500th time this week she sent my urine off to the lab to be tested. They said they found blood in my urine so they sent it off the a real lab to see if i have a UTI but when i called my DR my test came back NEG so no UTI there but it just makes me wonder where is the blood comming from? But its not harming my baby at all so im not to worried or should i be? its bad enough im already going nuts with this since this is my frist baby . all my friends and family that has been helping me out and making me feel safe and ok so i guess all is going well
