I love IAP. Days of relaxing, painting, sleeping, watching movies and of course running.

I woke up at 11am this morning and made some freshly ground coffee, chatted with some people on the floor and then finished up a cat drawing. Then I met Johnny at the student center for some food. After getting back to the dorm I went on a 6 mile run in the unseasonably warm weather. Yesterday's 6 mile run was at 7:04 pace. Today I went slower since I was not running with Kyle but alas I do not know my time because his watch was not with me :-). I love the weather this IAP. It's hitting the 50s! In Boston, in JANUARY! Gorgeous running weather.

I'm extremely excited for the Boston Marathon... I can't wait!! I officially registered a couple days ago so I am eagerly awaiting my number and Championchip. My goal for the Boston Marathon is to qualify for New York. It's pretty lofty... qualifying time is 3:18 which is currently 15 minutes faster than my PR. Although I'm not sure if a half marathon race can be used as a qualifier. I will be running a half marathon in March and I'm pretty sure I can run below a 1:34 half marathon. We'll see. I'm just getting back into the hardcore running game and the hard part right now is to hold back the mileage so I don't injure myself or burn out. Sigh.

Scott came back into town tonight and brought with him 20 pounds of wild Alaskan salmon. We cooked it in various ways and it was quickly devoured by the floor along with some bruschetta. Mmmm, I really like bruschetta and I LOVE salmon. I'm a total sucker for fresh seafood that's only slightly cooked, tasting of the sea and a twist of lemon.
