001. Accidental Voice/Action

[When Lindsay wakes up, the first thing she's aware of - other than the ache behind her shoulders - is that she's lying on the ground. At first, this doesn't really register as abnormal; it's not the first time she's fallen asleep on the ground, though part of her, in a dazed, not-fully-concious way, wonders who the heck stole her bedroll. Hey! It's okay, the pain goes away in a couple days. Listen, if you can describe the surrounding area to me, I can come and help you find your way into the village.

[Voice]

[magiconcehad]

[For Lindsay, who is still fighting off panic mode, it takes a while for her to realize someone's spoken. Of course, by that point it was far too late to... actually understand what they'd been saying. She does look up and around, though, seeking the source of the voice.]

H-huh?

[Voice]

[boomchucka]

[Selphie tries again with a more direct approach.]

There should be a journal nearby you. Pick it up!

[Voice]

[magiconcehad]

[Okay, that was a little easier to understand. Journal... Oh... it was right near her foot. She kneels down and picks it up, wincing and shrugging her shoulders a bit at the aching her shoulders were still doing... from her wings... wings...]

O-okay...

[Now what?]

[Voice]

[boomchucka]

Okay. Can you describe your surroundings to me? I'm gonna help you find your way into the village or come and find you myself.

[Voice]

[magiconcehad]

[Those were directions she could follow. It's a little easier to focus when she's got something like this to do.]

Umm... trees. [she winces. That's not a lot to go on.] A lot of trees and, uh... rocks... I-I think there might be a clearing to the left though... [And maybe some running water further out, but she isn't sure...]

[Voice]

[boomchucka]

Do you hear a river at all? Are there mountains in the background?

[Voice]

[magiconcehad]

[A second glance around, plus a longer pause for listening.]

There's mountains to the left too... and... I think I might hear water that way.

[That's not exactly helpful, Lindsay. This person can't see where you are.]

[Voice]

[boomchucka]

Great! How about I come meet you up there and guide you down into the village?

[Voice]

[magiconcehad]

Okay.

[That worked. She could handle that. She gets back to her feet, then looks down at the journal in her hands]

Uh... should I close this or...?

[Voice]

[boomchucka]

Nope! Keep talkin' to me! It'll make finding you a bit faster.

[Voice]

[magiconcehad]

Okay.

[She's a little relieved for that, and starts walking in the direction she thought the water was coming from.]

My name's Lindsay.

[Voice]

Nice to meet you Lindsay.

[Voice]

[Still heading in the direction of the river.]

Um... what is this place?

[Voice]

[Selphie's heading upstream to meet you!]

This is where things get a little complicated. This place is called Luceti and you've been brought here by a group known as the Malnosso. They're the ones who've brought you here and put the wings on your back. Those wings are your lifeline here so take good care of 'em. We've been brought inside the enclosure of a barrier to be experimented on. Periodically though, we're also drafted to fight their wars and do their dirty work as well.

[Well... that was... horrible, really. She... had no idea what really else to say to that.]
