A good day on many levels. First, biokink  anon meme was fantastic lulz.

Then Drunken Monkey Coffee Bar, a 20oz giant bowl-sized mug of The Tantric Mayan, a cinnamoned/almond-ed up spicy mocha, potato soup and a veggie panini.

Then Vienna Teng concert. Oh. My gosh. Opening act Glen Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket) included a song about a redneck boy praying that a neighbor's dog survives his father's grudgy drive by shooting. And played Walk on the Ocean. And apparently he has a true bromance with Alex Wong, Vienna's drummer/music partner. That's cool, I can totally ship them. There were many onstage jokes made about "My Heart Will Go On" and stage lighting reminiscent of Jesus Christ Superstar.

Her setlist, what I can remember of it: Whatever You Want, Gravity, Antebellum, The Last Snowfall, Homecoming (Walter's Song), Anna Rose, No Gringo,  Help is on the Way, Stray Italian Greyhound, 1BR/1BA, Grandmother's Song, Harbor, Ideoteque (Radiohead Cover), Soon Love Soon

Ahahahaha....AND FUNNY STORY, BROS. That bolded song up there? Was sung 4 feet in front of me, OUTSIDE. Because in the middle of this concert, no joke, the fire alarms went off, we all trooped outside for 10 minutes, and they sang for us acoustically as we all crowded around and waited for the theatre to let us know it was all cool, just a false alarm. It was so oddly appropriate, and they were so chill and intimate with us.

And then I came home to this.I love you Jabbers. And all my Disco-Gohl pals.

concert, discedo, coffee, drunken monkey, alex wong, vienna teng, bioshock
