(no subject)
So this has been the slowest afternoon-evening in what seems like forever, and one of those days I've kinda just breezed through utterly unreflective and blank, with the exception of suspecting I've let someone down a little, dreaming up the 5cm "Recessional" AMV I'd do, clips and pacing and placement and mood wise, if I knew the first thing about the technical bits of AMV editing. (Geez, the fact that I'm totally psyched about the Vienna Teng concert on )
Oh yeah. And I made delicious dinner of lean-cut, lemon-garlic, citrus-grille spice rubbed chicken with chicken herb couscous and some tabbouleh taken home from work. Well-balanced flavors, light, Mediterranean, yummy. I need to keep practicing what meal combinations work.
Oh, and apparently the issue of addressing 'adopted' family came up in RPS today, and so I blipped around a few threads, intrigued to see what general consensuses were, since culturally I'm doing lots of guesswork with Nani, and hoping it comes out alright. She's become one of those characters I'm a little self-conscious about, because being a Native Hawaaian Islander is something very integral to who she is as a character, and I should be making sure I'm doing that proper justice. I should do a bit more research into it, or....talk to some people out there who can give me firsthand commentary. Looking forward to the Discedo HMD coming up.
Eway, baby, 90 characters! I'm lovin' on your activity, and on the incoming hordes of western animation characters which make me vurr happy. But everyone-gets-drunk-no-water-just-alchohol event coming up? Gnnh. Really? For some reason that sounds- orz, I will try REALLY really hard to play this out realistic and not resort to the typical, trite 'Alchohol makes characters ridiculous and OOC' cliches. Also, wary of having an 11 yr old character in any way involved in this. Maybe....Coraline will just sip at half a glass of wine and then curl up on an armchair somewhere to doze off. Argh. I just don't want it to get too silly and cliche-ridden.
