Discedo***
character: Demyx
character lj:
quirky_sitarseries; Kingdom Hearts (TWO?!)
muse strength; Probably my most complete and solid. I've been playing around with this character since Dec 2006, he's my favorite cosplay personality, and so written out, he's fairly easy to do. Discedo's Demyx is the one I feel like I'm nailing for personality accuracy, or at least I'm very familiarized with how his head works, how his thought process goes, and that guides a lot of how I play him. He's surface-shallow and reflective and open-emotive and super passive aggressive, and yet sometimes there's that tricky tic or two of lucid deadpanning where I'll suddenly whip out the 'silence traitor' and he flips on his heel into something quite manipulative and 'me first'.
cast strength: We have a sizeable KH pool at Disc, and middling activity, I'd say, for most of us. Characterization wise, there are some that are spot on, some that need to be around a bit more before I can really tell. I'd love to see s'more cast common ground and some KH-verse themed interaction, but really they've developed quite a bit cluster-factionalized, which...is to be expected, I guess. Really, the whole hearts bit was super interesting, and still has alot of potential for exploring.
plotting capabilities: He's pretty entrenched in the Discedo community, so I've got places to go with him. For personal level, I'd still LOVE to dig through all the yummy bits of the having-heart issue with him. He's got Linda, the band, and the music end to hold up. He's one of the few who definitely sympathizes with 'The Sneaky Group' so there's lots of NPC-plot potential. Demyx also has Travis to plan Christmas with. ;D
other: I've realized lately that Demyx has a bad habit of sticking to the Discedo 'old crowd' and that he hadn't really interacted with many of the newer people that have joined since, oh, May. I'm gonna be trying to get him chatting it up with some new faces, because I think I rely a lot on relationships for him that have already developed instead of player-consciously seeking out new ones.
likelihood of drop;HAHA. No. I think he'll be around till Discedo's dying breath.

character; Replica Riku (Prydain)
character lj;
not_riku_thxseries; Kingdom Hearts (Chain O' Mems)
muse strength: Replica can be the muse that's so brash and forward-pushing in my head that he doesn't want to shut up. He's my 'personal growth arc' character, and he's changed a lot since his first days in Discedo. One of the joys of playing him is that he's a very physically active kid, I can always safely assume he's up to something and not just sitting around. That makes him easy to update. He's confident and independent and I enjoy playing him fairly headstrong. I need to canon-check him frequently against KH1/CoM Riku to make sure he's still at least somewhat resembling his roots.
cast strength; (See above for general thoughts on KH cast)
plotting capabilities; Pry's got a high survival competency, and apparently some natural bent towards leadership, and that keeps developing as time goes on. There's lots I'd like to do between him and Yorda, between him and his canon-mates (Sora, Namine, Riku and Zexion, particularly), and as an active hand in running around the city and getting things done. I'd enjoy getting him in some action, and seeing how he comes up against challenges.
other; The slight problem with placing Prydain in charge of his own little ragtag gang in the corner of the city is that he's sort of isolationist and damn proud of it, which I think should be tricky to branch out, but then I look at the list of people he's interacted with and damn, he somehow still manages to get around? I guess I need to back off of him sometimes, though, to give the other muses a turn at bat. That, and let the boy mess up a bit more. I tend to assume he's capable of a TON of things without throwing much negative consequence at him.
likelihood of drop; Psh. This is the muse that made me buy him a 6 mth paid account so he could have moar snarkface icons. Safe to stay he'll stick around.

character: Nani Pelekai
character lj:
betterassisterseries: Lilo & Stitch (Original Film Only)
muse strength; Middling. Sometimes, her voice comes naturally and she's really fun and heartfelt and a joy to play, other times I need to struggle to log in and get her busy. Since Nani is a secondary/supportive character, sometimes it's tricky to make her an active and not just a reactive voice. I wonder if I'm over-emphasizing the Ohana themes with her, or if she's the right mix of warm/stressed out/pragmatic.
cast strength; Well, it's just me and Kate! If she ever dropped Lilo I think I'd have a severely hard time playing Nani through the loss. But I love their interaction, I will go ahead and admit that we sometimes co-play Nani and Lilo to get them some really outrageous tags (this is easy when the other half of your cast is your roommate). I frequently say I wish everyone could see all the 'offscreen' Nani/Lilo time we have, because we chat about what they're doing in Discedo lots, and most of the time that never finds all of its way into the journals.
plotting capabilities; Again, Nani's a caretaker and a support-character. I'd like her to be involved with the plot more, but I feel like it's difficult for me to be tossing her into many high-risk situations. I'm not sure what her full potential is, I admit I don't really take her through too many extremities.
other; She's my rare-hat muse. I've never seen another Nani played, I'm frequently told this is an awesome thing, and so I'm proud of that.
likelihood of drop; Though she's less strong of a muse than Demyx or Pry, and I intend to hold her around as long as I can, Nani would probably get the drop if Lilo needed to go. It would just kinda break my heart to play them split up.

character; Yzma
character lj;
wrong_leverseries; Emperor's New Groove
muse strength; She's my crackmuse. I really need to get her past the one liners, but really I put here in for purely comic relief, and to shake things up a little with evil-but-not-rly. Yzma's...I'm not sure I have a grasp on what to do with her besides bouts of utter outrageousness, but people seem to get a kick out of her.
cast strength; Only me, baby! (Seriously, I'd kill for more Disney Villians/a Kuzco or Kronk. Originally she was supposed to be introduced with Sweeney-mun's Gaston, but that never wound up happening)
plotting capabilities; I feel like I've exhausted the potioneering gag with the animal transformation water, and honestly here's the trouble...she's not all that entrenched in Discedo goings on, and so I've been having a tricky time with her. But I think she could work in the evil advisor role, if the opportunity arose. I've certainly enjoyed throwing her over the top with the Okage cast.
other; trufact: while logged in for a long stretch on Yzma's journal, I usually pop on an Eartha Kitt playlist I made for her. It helps with the voicing a lot, even if they're her cheezy 80's disco comeback tunes.
likelihood of drop; She's...close, on the cutting block. If I pick up a new muse and it's getting to be too overwhelming, she'll probably be the first one out. Sorry :<
**EWAY
entranceway**
character: Replica Riku (Arland)
character lj:
madeinoblivionseries: Kingdom Hearts (Chain of Memories)
muse strength; O hey, its Replica muse No 2! At Eway, he's way, way more canon-close than Discedo's replica. This is probably because I haven't found him a good hook to learn from yet, and because he hasn't really faced the Big Riku Issue extensively. I like playing Arland, though, 'cause he's a little brat still, and quite childish and inquisitive, and so it's not difficult to let him run with his own initiative.
cast strength; It sorta breaks my heart that the KH cast has sort of peeled off one by one in the past few months, since it's strength was one of the things that attracted me to Eway. I've had a BLAST playing him with Vexen though, and with Namine, and in mostly the mirrorverse with Roxas. I'm so excited with having New!Sora to mess with fresh.
plotting capabilities; Well, I just turned his event idea in ;3 We'll see. Nice thing about Eway is that the event-plots crop up quick and change around wildly, its easy to find SOMETHING to do, its the spaces in between that get tricky. Oh, I would like to continue with him and BB being rivals.
other: ...As fun as he is, I have even more guilty pleasure fun in the dressing with his mirror. Mirror!Replica (aka:Riqis) is SOOOOOO fucked and complex with the identity issues. I really can't wait to have plotstuff happen to play his side a lil.
likelihood of drop; Mm. That really depends on the forecast of Eway. I like the muse, the only issue would probably be a game-pace issue.
