The latest...
It seems harder and harder for me to get back on lj and find something to write about. Usually, I have so many thoughts going on that I find writing just helps me to get it out of my head. But lately, I've just been too numb to feel anything or think about things. And not much going on...
I do have some news though. I just gave my two-weeks notice at my job. I've been so ready to get out of here- pretty much since I started (about a year ago). So, now, I'm finally getting out. The reason I gave my two weeks notice is because I was offered another job. This job will be a full-time position, with a pay increase AND benefits! So, I'm doing pretty well. I had to take the opportunity... I start working on Wednesday.
Other than that, Monks left for Washington D.C. She had taken the job last month. And actually, today is her first day! So, I plan to call her after class tonight to find out how things went. She left yesterday afternoon... after plenty of tears and hugs, she left. It definitely felt weird coming home to noone. But I guess that's what happens... things are beginning to work out for the better- for everyone. So, I can't really complain.
Besides that, I'm almost finished with this school year. And that means, I'm to graduate. I am just about done with my practicum. Weird how I went from being extremely DESPERATE for hours to being 3 hours short with two weeks left in the semester. Pretty much, I went to the "Rock for Relief" concert at the school and interpreted that. The concert itself was just under 6 hours. Since it took place on a Friday, that meant I had rehearsals before that. So, that day alone, I racked up a total of about 15 hours! Talk about exhausted...
So, that's what's happening with me at the moment. Like I said, nothing much going on.
