A New Idea
I want to start a sort of internet fanfiction club, similar to that of a book club, only with - duh- fanfiction. I plan to create a new Tumblr and Livejournal for it when I have regulated internet (meaning when I get my laptop back and fixed), get a tinychat or another free chat service account, and link to a few stories that I like and dates and times I plan to have these discussion chats. If someone has a fandom/pairing/story/genre of fic that either I don't know much about or simply don't read and they are willing to host a chat on that, I will link to their chat or page that has more information. Since I read primarily femslash of certain fandoms (though I have many fandoms), I plan to have links for people who may be interested in Slash, Het, General ETC as well so they can participate in that. It sounds like if it gets a lot of people interested, it will be a big thing, but I have a friend who said she would help me get it going with graphics, so I am getting super excited for this. Too many times in certain circles there would be people who are like OMG this is the most amazing story EVUR about a story in just about each fandom and pairing I have been apart of, so since we have all pretty much read some of them already, we could get together and really talk about it all in the same spot. I might, while I am getting some of these together, have the first one or two chats be something like oldies but goodies, a link or two to stories that came out a while ago in say Xena or Buffy that people have liked in the past or some. Oh gosh I am so excited for this!
