Taking a break. Sorting through all of the cable from the old control room to put it in storage bins until I decide to set it up again. Literally miles of cable of various kinds.
I really doubt that I'll set it up again with that level of complexity: I had the ability to connect and route everything, some 40-plus channels of audio, six different types of video sources, the computer... it's taking me a handful of hours just to sort the cables. And since I'm no longer in the business, I'll be selling off some of the equipment that I'm just never going to use again. Probably most of it now.
Damn.
Anybody looking to set up a professional recording studio?
