I had the same deal with the $450/mo. COBRA payment. OUCH! I wish that healthcare costs hadn't escalated so much. It seems absurd!

I don't believe anything is a right. Or a privilege. It's 99% luck that any of the things in your life right now are in your life. They are accidents of your choices, your birth, your education, your skin, your gender, your nationality, your ability to cognate, and those of the people and nation you are born to.

We could make it a right, but we choose not to. Life is considered a right, but we kill people in wars every day. We execute prisoners.

One day our government will realize that keeping their workforce healthy is the most important thing we need to to do to stay internationally competitive (well, maybe increasing science/math interest and scores, too).
