well...the time has finally come
In less than 2 hours I hit the road to chicago to leave for alaska. I'm having a mix of emotions...happy that I'll be starting something new and exciting, sad that I'm leaving all my friends and family behind, especially M, joy from the party last night and hoping that everyone had a great time. Btw, I wanted to thank everyone that came to the party and said goodbye to me before I leave and to those who weren't able to come or didnt make it out...I understand and wish all of you the very best and I love you all. All of you have been a great friend to me and I can't tell you how much that means to me. I do ask one huge favor from all of you...and that is to please help be there and comfort emily while I'm gone. It's going to be very difficult for her while she is in school and me being gone. Spend time with her and ask her how her day went, if it was shitty, talk to her about it to try to help her and give her a hug if you see her. I am really sorry for leaving everyone on such a short notice, but I beg of you to please try to understand when I say that this is something that I'd really like to try and feel I need to do. Like Dave, I really need to leave to get away from home for a while and to see what happens. I will promise that in 2 years when M gets her bachelors, that I will be coming back to marry her and I will be trying to come back for christmas, but unfortunately I cannot make any promises. If anything, I will definitely be trying to make it back down for next years acen. I will have my cell phone up there, but I have no idea how good the reception will be, so feel free to call me if you want and I will try to keep in touch with everyone as much as possible. I wish each and every one of you the very best with your lives and know that I will always be with you in spirit and in heart.
