Ok, I must admit, he got me. Hooked me from the first notes.
Has me hungry for more from his first performance searching for all
I could find on the guy/man/beast? self-proclaimed "freak".
Doesn't feel he has ever fit in. Sounds like normal growing up years esp
teenage to me. Most of us wouldn't go back if you paid us very large sums
of money. I know I wouldn't.
I don't watch these "talent" shows often. Also, not a big fan of opera...it is one
of the smaller nooks of music I enjoy. But this guy.....THIS GUY, I could listen to
an album of him...and he hasn't even had training yet.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/08/andrew-de-leon-opera-americas-got-talent-video_n_1580446.html Unfortunately, he blew the second audition.
No place to send him comments or encouragement so I am posting here.
Hope he gets it.
I hope he practices alone and performs live in front of audiences....and mostly,
I hope he goes back and competes again.
I hope if he gets training, that they enhance his skills not ruin the unique sound he
has.
I also hope that he allows himself to evolve. Goth isn't usually ALL the time or at least
forever. He is a handsome young man and it would be nice to see him in a variety of styles
that make the most of his talents, even if goth remains the one closest to his heart.
He has already made his point of getting folks to look beyond appearances. Check that off your list Andrew...done that now. Now, focus on your singing and what else you wish to accomplish.
He is MrPrinceofFreaks on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/user/MrPrinceofFreaksbut no way to contact him there.
If anyone finds a way to contact him directly, please pass it on to me here. Thanks!
