Layer list: here

1/Layer 3: Resize the cap and choose the crop you want. It is a blu-ray cap so don' tbe afraid ti do an extreme close up. For this one, I wanted to keep her emotion so I didn't crop too much but choose a more "dramatic" crop than the usual centered crop.

2/Layer 3 copy + Brightness/contrast1: I always work on light first.

Layer -> New Adjustement Layer -> Brightness/Contrast
Brightness: +100
Contrast: +59

I want to keep the soft aspect of her face so instead of going crazy with the light and contrast I duplicate the base under the brightness/contrast layer and set it to screen, 21% of opacity.

3/Color balance 1: Now, the coloring! I don't know where to go on this one as this movie is totally different from a scene to another.

Layer -> New Adjustement Layer -> Color balance
Midtones: -1, -33, -48

4/Channel Mixer 1: Not bad but I want more colors to get the icon a bit original.

Layer -> New Adjustement Layer -> Channel Mixer
Blue: +3, -12, +123

5/Vibrance 1: The coloring sounds promising but it needs to be pimp a bit so I used the vibrance tool.

Layer -> New Adjustement Layer -> Vibrance
Vibrance: +27
Saturation: +7

6/Color balance 2: I want to try to make it more blue/purple.
Layer -> New Adjustement Layer -> Color balance
Midtones: -20, -12, +20

7/Color balance 3: It is ugly BUT it gives soft tones to her skin so instead of deleting the layer, I keep it and decide to open a new color balance to correct the purple.

Layer -> New Adjustement Layer -> Color balance
Midtones: +27, +9, -52

8/Layer 5 +layer 5 copy: The coloring looks good to me but I want to add some light blurbs to give a little something to the icon. Open a new layer and with a paint brush paint a bit on it and then use the gaussian blur (filter -> blur -> gaussian blur) to create the texture. Set it to screen. Then duplicate the texture and let it to screen. As you see, it is too bright so lower the opacity of the forst texture to 19%.

9/Layer 3 copy 2: Duplicate the base (the first layer) and move it to the top of the layers. Set it to soft light. The key here is to not make it too bright so what I did is slightly play with the opacity of the textures. This is why I have the first one set to 19%.

10/Color balance 4: Now it is time to color a bit. I want to add a bit more yellow, contrast and light. Instead of using a brightness/contrast layer, I'll use a color balance layer.

Layer -> New Adjustement Layer -> Color balance
Midtones: 0, +1, +12
Highlights: 0, 0, -30

11/Color balance 5: I want to add more colors to make the icon pimp. For that, I need to color the shadows too.
Layer -> New Adjustement Layer -> Color balance
Shadows: 0, -8, +6
Midtones: +10, -5, -31

12/Last touch before saving:

Filter -> Sharpen -> Sharpen
then
Edit -> Fade sharpen
