DONE and waiting...

So it's "Oh Bright Early" but I am finally DONE! I just submitted my final exam for my last class (it was online) so there is nothing left for me to do but wait and see what my grade pans out to be. (I did half last night, slept on the couch and got up with Jim to finish it this morning!) I currently have a solid A so unless I totally missed the boat on my final I should receive an A for this course which could possibly give my GPA that final push above Cum Laude to the next level. Of course no matter, if it does or doesn't, I am just proud to be graduating with honors at all! After my GPA from my first year of college, I NEVER thought I would see the day that my name would be on a collegiate honors list! At least no beyond a semester based Dean's list or something. Who knew my cumulative results would ever be to this level?! I am SUPER proud of myself, can you tell?! *patting self on back* I do find it ironic that had I only been a mediocre student it would have only cost me $30 to graduate, but since I am an honors student and in a National Honor Society, it cost me over $100 to graduate! WTF? Seems like a punishment for being smart and hard working, doesn't it?! (I had to pay seperately for honors cords, stoles, and the other fancy crap that goes with my cap & gown.) I made a joke about not wanting them and the lady at the graduation office shot me such a dirty look and exclaimed, "but you have to!" I took that as my cue that I really did not have a choice, I was going to leave with these overprices pieces of notions whether I wanted to or not! LOL! Anyways, had my honors banquet at the Allumni building last night, it was small and sweet and I totally appreciate the few alumni that braved the rain to come talk to us! It was appreciated! So the only thing I have left to do is sew on that stupid white collar to my gown and have it pressed to get the wrinkles out. I had hoped that I could use my cap & gown from the first time I graduated from APSU (back in 2001) but they used a different manufactuerer this time so the colors are different. UGH! I hate getting these dumb ass things ready. LOL! However, all of the frusteration is worth it, this new gown is a REGULAR sized gown instead of a PLUS sized gown! Whoot-whoot! I still can't fathum that I was ever big enough to need a plus sized gown, these things are HUGE! LOL! Well I am off to get a couple of more hours sleep before I have to get DJ off to school. Of course that is if they have not canceled it again!
