The NEW Filters Post
It's Personal Live Journal Maintenance Time and I have already cleared out a bunch of my FList (last month) and reorganized some of my filters so here is an explanation of them. I will follow this post with individual entries for each filter, if you are on it you will SEE the "filter post", if you want OFF OF IT, comment to that particular entry and I will delete you from it. And yes, THIS POST and the following filter posts will be screened so no one else will see your replies.
Oh and I will mention it now, I use tags a lot... not always but quite often so you can always click on any of my tags if you feel the need to explore certain topics. I suppose next month I should clean up my tags! LOL

Arts & Crafts Purely posts about my artistic efforts, art related events and whatnot. If you really don't care to read about my art, crafting of the weird, costuming, steampunkery, and the like then you likely do not want to be on this filter. (A heavily used filter.)
Adult/Kinky: Oh yes I am kinky and I do like to share with other kinky folks. If you WANT to see nekkid pictures of me, read about upcoming kinky events, hear about the latest toy to hit the market, or you are morbidly curious as to what I talk about on this filter then ask to be added. BE WARNED, I do NOT censor myself at all on this filter and I try my best to hide NSFW stuff behind LJ-cuts or by using the "EXPLICIT CONTENT" feature of LJ so that you don't get in trouble at work while surfing the net on your lunch break. HOWEVER, I am human and sometimes I forget or I make a post from my blackberry which doesn't always allow me to protect the entry. You have been warned. *grins* You must ASK to be added to this one b/c I will not assume even if I know you too are kinky! UPDATE: I do keep a separate LiveJournal for most of my kink related writing and photo sharing so it may be best to add that one to your Flist, as I prefer using that one so I don't fudge up on a filter or "explicit content" tagging. That LJ is called A Life In Service. (A moderately used filter because there is a separate LJ for this content.)
Military: This one is for all of our military friends: Did we meet you through the military? Are you in the military? Married to it? Retired from service? Want a real picture of what military life is like? Or simply supportive and want to know what is going on in the military these days? Then ask to be added to this one! You don't have to be serving or anything but I don't wanna bore folks with my rants about military life, upcoming sales at the PX, or military news pieces. (A lightly used filter.)
Musicians: This filter is for all of my traveling bard friends who never stay in one place very long. I post news and info about their performances, my reviews of other music events I have attended or plan to attend, and other things related to music. If you are a practicing musician... ie you perform, are studying to be one, etc... then ask to be added. When I post about performances in specific regions of the world I always include that filter and this filter to that particular post... so if you are a fan don't think you are missing anythng NOT being on this filter. It's just for the performers, that way I don't bore THEM with my mundane life stuff! (A lightly used filter.)
North East Friends: If you live in the mid-west, heartland, or the eastern half of Canada, please ask to be added to this one. It's pretty much just my way of keeping track of where my friends move around the country. I also use it to post news and info specific to that part of the country or events and points of interest to this region of the world! I also post when I am traveling "back home" so you might want to know that! (A lightly used filter.)
OA/WLS: OK, I use this one when I make entries about Over Eaters Anonymous, my program, or Weight Loss Surgery issues and information. This is a more private filter because I share a lot of very personal information on it ranging from my childhood to my current struggles with food, obesity, health & fitness. If you want to be added I will consider your request but please do not be offended if I don't add you. When I post here it can simply be news about WLS techniques or as deep and personal as rehashing personal trauma from my past that have surfaced in my healing process and I need to write about it. I am talking about the very real possibility dark shit here people, I've been through a lot in my life and writing and sharing helps me to heal. If I think something I am writing about may trigger stuff for others then I try to hid it behind a lj-cut with a warning about the contents. Anyways, if you want to be added, ask. (A moderately used filter.)
Pac-NW friends: If you live in the pacific northwest region or the western half of Canada, please ask to be added to this one. It's pretty much just my way of keeping track of where my friends move around the country. I also use it to post news and info specific to that part of the country or events and points of interest to this region of the world! Since I currently live here, of course the posts to this filter are heavier than any other region. (A heavily used filter.)
Pagan: If you are pagan or have pagan/new age leanings and you want to see posts that specifically address these types of spiritual postings then ask to be added to this one. I occasionally post news and such, beyond personal posts. (A lightly used filter.)
Poly/Pansexual/GLBT/Queer/Alt Lifestyle: This filter is for those of you who consider yourself Bi, Poly, GLBT, or Queer and actually want to read about my expierences, local events, news, etc. If you do NOT consider yourself apart of any of the above communities but you are open minded and actually want to read posts dealing with such issues then you are MORE THAN WELCOME to be added to this filter, just ask! I have this filter because in the past I have posted about my personal expierences or my opinions about politics dealing with GLBT/Queer/Poly/Alt issues and ended up offending people. I don't want to wave my pride flags (and there are many) in your face if you take offense to my lifestyle choices and opinions. I can look past your personal beliefs and lifestyle choices, if you can look past mine, and still be my friend. *smiles*
Southern Friends: If you live in the mid-south or the deep south, please ask to be added to this one. It's pretty much just my way of keeping track of where my friends move around the country. I also use it to post news and info specific to that part of the country or if I am planning to travel there soon! (And no there is not a South-West filter b/c I don't know anyone there and I have only traveled there once!) (A lightly used filter.)
Twysted Tails Haven Filters: For this there are two; One is for the RESIDENTS who live on property and the other is for people whom we consider extended family to the TTH Clan despite living on their own properties and whom should be kept abreast of major changes here. Though there is a separate LiveJournal for the Family to use for family matters and each of us have the log in and password for it so this filter is rarely used here on my LJ now. (A lightly used filter.) UPDATE: The Family LJ is called Twysted Tales from Twysted Tails and it can be found HERE.
Vintage Punk: I am a total Vintage Punker... yes that means Steampunk, Disel Punk, Cyber Punk, Retro-futurism, and so much more. I am really into costuming from a finding, tear it apart, and make it your own viewpoint so this filter is pretty heavy in events listings, pictures, and the blogging of my creative process. (A moderately used filter.)
Willow Circle: My old coven back in the mid-south. We've all moved onto other parts of the world but I keep this filter b/c you will always be my covenmates. Not to mention I don't want to delete it and have all those coven locked posts become public. LOL! (A lightly used filter.)
Writers: Same thing as the musician filter but for writers who are entirely too damn busy to read about my boring ass life. LOL! So this one is for writers and publishers who are my friends that don't need to be "in on" the everyday stuff. (A lightly used filter.)
....and the remaining filters are just small private one person filters as I am sure most of you don't want to read about my squishy girlie "I wuv you my goofy faced banana boy" entries and the like. LOL I primarily write my entries in "friends only" so you will likely be able to read most of my entries. Like I mentioned in the above filter descriptions, some of my filters are just so I can keep track of where some of my readers live, others exist to keep previously private entries private, and the rest exist so that you don't need "eye bleach", or fear losing your job for the content of my LJ, or read about things you are clearly not interested in reading about me. Some of the filters have not changed from years past, and some have gone away making those previously locked by a filter of some type entries now able to be read by anyone who is on my Flist.... not that I think any of you care to go back into the archives to find those entries. LOL.
