Opinions please?!

OK Folks, I am looking for a good digital SLR camera.

I know I want to be able to...

change lenses easily

have a decent sized view screen

have an installed flash but also the ability to use a detachable flash

remote control or a timer for self picture taking

easy to use (so that the boys can tinker with it too)

image stabilizer, preferably inside the house and not the lens because I already own some very nice SLR lenses for a 35mm SLR that I would like to be able to use but are pre-digital age so they don't have in-lens stabilizer chips or anything

affordable!!! That is key since I don't have a grand to spend on equipment

at least a 6MP or better. I have a 10MP point and shoot that I love already so it does not need to be THAT high but I'd like it above 6.

Does anyone have an opinions as to a camera that would fit my desires? Do you think my wishes are unrealistic?
