Comic Book Geeks Unite brought to you by
mondaysabitch 1. Which comic company is your favorite?
For those of you who are not total comic book geeks and you don't realize how many "known" comix companies are out there...
here is a listing of companies for you!
Personally I am a HUGE comix fan...
I love the art behind it all. So I am not a diehard fan of just one company. My top three favorites are:even though there are many more lesser known comix that I like too
Dark Horse- Star Wars, Hell Boy, and so much more...
DC Comics- Green Lantern, AquaMan, Wonder Woman, Super Girl, Justice League
Marvel- Elektra, DareDevil, X-Men, Fraggle Rock, Captain America, Fantastic Four, GI Joe, Spider Man, Conan, Blade, Incredible Hulk, Miss America, Transformers, Gargoyles, Ghost Rider, The Punisher, Silver Surfer
I also love Ill Will Press because I am a total FOAMY fan! Of course IllWillPress is not exactly a "print" company, its a animated internet comic. LOL!
2. Whose is your favorite character(s) and why?
Hmmm.... there are soooo many to choose from... I always liked Rogue... she has all this power yet she lacks a basic human need... the need for companionship... being able to TOUCH people that she loves. I also like Ghost Rider alot growing up, probably b/c he rode that fine line between good and evil (like I mentioned before).
3. Do you prefer villains or heroes?
I prefer heros with a dark streak, the ones who ride that thin line between good an evil, such as Ghost Rider, The Punisher, Elektra, etc... Although I do like the heros just the same. There are very few villians that I just LOVE and would read comix just from their prospective. I would have to say that Magneto would probably be one villian I'd read solo.
4. If you could be any comic book character who would you be? (established or imagined)
I am a Wonder Woman fan from wayyyyy back so as a little girl I wanted to be her... I loved the who Amazon woman gig. When I was a teen/college age, I was all about Elektra... so super powers or mutant powers.... just a well trained fighting machine. However now, I am not sure I'd want to be any established character... I think I'd rather be something new. Army wife, mother and cop by day, crime fighter by night. Yeah that sounds good to me... Lady Justitia! Abilities similar to Daredevil perhaps but not being blind, instead being born with hightened sences that were further developed throught my life. (I always joked about my mother having "super mom" hearing as a kid. LOL!)
5. Comic Books to Movies: Do you prefer it when the movie sticks to the comic story line or strays off with their own creative license?
I actually enjoy both. What pisses me off is when the movie is billed to be one way but it results in something different. If they are going to take their own creative license than bill the movie as "X-Men inspired film" or something... don't fucking kill off Wolverine in some imagined storyline and expect the fans to buy it. KWIM?
